Is the screen recorder free?
Yes. Recording, the webcam, the teleprompter, trimming and MP4 or GIF downloads are free, with no account and no watermark. Capture Pro adds share links for videos.
Are my recordings uploaded?
No. The video is recorded and kept in your browser, and only leaves your computer when you download it or create a share link with Capture Pro.
Can I record my screen and webcam at the same time?
Yes. Turn on the camera and pick a corner and size; your webcam is drawn into the video. This works in Chrome and Edge. In other browsers you can record the screen, or the camera on its own.
Is there a time limit?
No. Recordings can be as long as your computer has room for. Very long recordings take more disk space, so download them when you're done.
What if I close the tab while recording?
The recording is saved every second. Open the recorder again and it offers to recover what was recorded.
Which browsers does it work in?
Chrome and Edge on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS work best. Phones and tablets can't record the screen from a web page.
